Once you know what you are looking for, a set of terms reads in two minutes. The remaining paragraphs govern abuse, duplicate accounts and jurisdiction, and change nothing about the value of the offer.
Sentence one usually sits in the first third
It opens with “The bonus amount must” or “The bonus credit is subject to”. What you are looking for is the number before the × and the word after it. If it says “bonus amount”, that is the cheap variant; if it says “deposit and bonus” or “total balance”, the obligation doubles.
Sentence two sits under “Restrictions”
Worded as “The maximum stake per round is”. This clause is sharp: a breach as a rule voids not only the round but the entire bonus, and in many houses the winnings that came out of it as well.
Sentence three sits with the withdrawal rules
“The maximum withdrawable win from this bonus is”. With free spins that cap is often a small fixed sum, regardless of what was actually won.
Sentence four is a table, not a sentence
Game weighting. Slots a hundred per cent, table games ten to twenty, live frequently zero. Read past it and you are calculating with the wrong turnover.
Three wordings worth slowing down for
- “sticky” or “not withdrawable”. The bonus amount itself is never paid out, only the win made from it.
- “at our sole discretion”. Gives the operator room it can use in a dispute. Not a disqualifier, but a hint at the tone of the house.
- “not valid in conjunction with”. Sets out that offers exclude one another — often including free spins still running.
