Every licensed operator has to know who it is paying money out to. The question is not whether there is a check, but when — and the account holder decides that.
Three proofs, three purposes
| Photo ID | identity: the person behind the account |
|---|---|
| Proof of address | residence: usually a bill, no more than three months old |
| Proof of payment | ownership of the payment method: a statement or a photo of the card |
| Proof of source of funds | only on larger amounts: where the money staked comes from |

The four mistakes that drag the process out
- Cut-off corners. The document has to be complete in the picture, edges included.
- Proof of address that is too old. Three months is the usual frame.
- A differing spelling. The name on the account has to match the one on the ID, umlauts included.
- Someone else's payment method. An account in another name is the most common hard rejection.
The timing is the whole decision
Filed beforehand, the check is a formality with one to two days of processing. Filed afterwards, it sits between the request and the money, and every query extends the wait by another round.
And what “without verification” actually means
That nothing is asked for at sign-up. Almost every set of terms reserves the right to request documents at any time — a default setting, then, not a commitment. What sits behind the phrase.
