Nobody reads forty paragraphs. Nobody has to — most of them cover duplicate accounts, abuse and jurisdiction, and change nothing about what an offer is worth.
The four that count
- The wagering factor and what it applies to. In the first third of the bonus terms. The word behind the number is half the information.
- The maximum stake while wagering. Under “restrictions”. Breaching it usually costs the whole bonus.
- The cap on winnings you may withdraw. With the withdrawal rules, often as a fixed amount.
- The withdrawal limit per period. In the terms, not on the cashier page. It decides whether a large win arrives in instalments.
Five turns of phrase to slow down for
- “at our sole discretion”. Reserves room to manoeuvre that can be used if there is a dispute.
- “a reasonable amount” instead of a figure. A limit without a number is not a limit you can check.
- “sticky” or “non-withdrawable”. The bonus amount itself is never paid out.
- “irregular play”. A very broad term; left without examples, it means whatever it needs to mean.
- “not valid in conjunction with”. Offers exclude one another, occasionally including free spins already running.
The technique: search, do not read
Using the browser's text search for “×”, “max bet”, “maximum” and “limit” finds the four places in a few seconds. That is the whole trick, and it works at every operator.
And a screenshot
The terms as they stood when you accepted are the ones that apply. A photograph of them costs nothing and is, in a dispute, the difference between a memory and a record.
