Almost every casino home page carries a seal at the bottom. A seal is a picture. The proof is the entry it points at, and you can open that yourself.
Step one: the footer
It carries the operating company, its seat, the licence number and the authority. If the number is missing, or if only an authority's name appears without one, that is already the result of the check.
Step two: the authority's register
Every regulator keeps a public register, usually without a sign-in and searchable by number or by domain. The link on the casino's own page often leads straight there — calling the register up yourself is more reliable.
Step three: find the domain in the entry
This is the step almost nobody takes, and the only one that makes the check mean anything. An entry can be genuine and apply to an entirely different domain. If the domain in front of you is not in the entry, the entry does not cover this site.
Step four: status and date
An entry with the status “active” and a date is proof for that day. Without a date, a picture of a register is only a picture. That is why the licence column on this site carries the date it was read.
What a missing entry means
Not automatically that something is wrong — registers are kept to varying standards, and some numbers sit under the name of a parent company. It means the proof has not been produced, and that you can ask casino support about it. The answer to that question is itself a piece of information.
Editorial order. The licence column is filled in where we opened the register, and carries the date.
